Privacy statement

I consent that, if I should decide to apply for a position at AB Texel Group, my personal data will be processed in accordance with the AB Transport Group privacy statement for job applicants.

Privacy statement

AB Transport Group B.V. and its group companies within the meaning of Section 2:24b of the Dutch Civil Code (“Royal A-ware”) respect your privacy. If you apply for a position at AB Transport Group, for instance by completing an application form on a AB Transport Group website or by sending a letter, e-mail or other message to AB Transport Group, AB Transport Group will process your personal data. This privacy statement tells you how we will process and protect your personal data in that situation.

What personal data does AB Transport Group process?

AB Transport Group processes the personal data you submit to us, such as your name, contact data and other personal data included in your CV and/or motivation letter.

For what purposes does AB Transport Group process your personal data?

In principle, AB Transport Group uses your personal data only in order to assess your suitability for the position for which you are applying. Your personal data may be processed further if this is necessary for compliance with laws and regulations, or if AB Transport Group has a legitimate interest in doing so.

Who has access to your data?

AB Transport Group provides your personal data to the persons responsible for achieving the purposes described above, such as prospective managers, staff members at the HR department and/or interviewers if you are invited for a job interview. In this context, your personal data may be processed by (staff members and subcontractors of) various group companies of AB Transport Group. If the position requires this, the appraisal may involve an assessment, screening or other test. Where necessary, therefore, AB Transport Group may transfer your personal data to assessment, screening or testing agencies. AB Transport Group will not otherwise provide your data to third parties, unless it is obliged to do so by law or AB Transport Group believes in good faith that it has a legitimate (legal) interest in doing so.

How do we protect your data?

AB Transport Group sees to it that your personal data is given an adequate level of protection which ensures that your personal data is protected and secured against unauthorised use, unauthorised access, alteration and unlawful destruction.

For how long do we retain your data?

AB Transport Group will not retain your data any longer than is necessary for the achievement of the aforesaid purposes, taking account of our need to answer questions, solve problems and comply with the statutory regulations. This means that we may retain your data for a reasonable period after your last interaction with AB Transport Group. When the data we have collected is no longer required, we will destroy or remove this data in a secure manner.

What are your privacy rights?

You have the right to access your personal data, request that your personal data be corrected or removed, or restrict the processing of your data. If you wish to exercise your rights, you can submit a specific request to this end, stating your name and contact data. AB Transport Group will respond to your request within four weeks. In the event of a request for removal, AB Transport Group will remove the data concerned as soon as possible, unless and insofar as AB Transport Group is obliged by law to retain this data. If the processing was based on your consent, the withdrawal of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of the data processing prior to the moment when you withdrew your consent.

Your request must be directed to the company ultimately responsible for the personal data processing by AB Transport Group:

AB Transport Group B.V.

If you are not happy about the treatment of your personal data by AB Transport Group, you will have the right to lodge a complaint with your own data protection authority or with the Dutch Personal Data Protection Authority. Further information can be found on https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

What are the consequences if I do not wish to provide my personal data?

Providing your personal data is not compulsory. If you refuse to provide particular personal data, however, this may prevent AB Transport Group from assessing whether you are a suitable candidate for a position at AB Transport Group. Not providing personal data may therefore have the effect that AB Transport Group is unable to deal with your application, or unable to consider it any further.

Persons younger than 16

If you are younger than 16, we request you not to send us your personal data (such as name, address or e-mail address). If you nevertheless want to contact us in a manner requiring you to submit your personal data, then please ask your parent or guardian to do so on your behalf.
